Mr Bone has over 20 years of technical and operational experience in multiple disciplines including Engineering and Finance.
Mr Bone commenced with University Paton in 1999 and worked in a variety of roles prior to becoming the Business Development Manager in January 2002, the Sales & Marketing Director in January 2007, the Technical Director & General Manager in January 2010 and he was appointed Executive Chairman & Managing Director in July 2014.
Mr Bone was educated at All Saints College before completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Marketing at Murdoch University. He subsequently gained a Master of Business Administration with honours from Curtin University’s Graduate School of Business.
He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Managers & Leaders, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an Associate Member of the Australian Marketing Institute and a Certified Practising Manager. He was also nominated in the 2020 Top 40 Under 40 Awards.
Mrs Morgenthal has been with University Paton since 2006 and has worked in a variety of roles prior to becoming the Company Secretary in January 2010 and was subsequently appointed to the board of directors in July 2014.
Mrs Morgenthal was educated at Lohfeld Grammar School in Bad-Salzuflen, Germany and went on to graduate summa cum laude with first class honours from Bielefeld University. She holds a bachelor’s degree and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
She is responsible for the efficient administration of the company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and for ensuring that decisions of the board of directors are implemented.
Mr Spoor has more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has worked under a number of successful Engineering companies in their own right. He was appointed Technical Director & General Manager in July 2014.
Under his leadership the business has gone from strength to strength and rolled with the economic punches to remain in the market in its current iteration.
Mr Spoor holds a bachelors in Engineering from Victoria University and a Master of Business Administration from Melbourne Business School and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors as well as a Certified Practising Manager.
As the head of the team, his expertise lies in having unique approaches to assessing problems and challenges to achieve the most optimal of outcomes for our customers.
Mr O’Dowd has worked within the precision manufacturing industry for more than 30 years.
Mr O’Dowd commenced with University Paton in 2015 and is responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling our manufacturing processes.
Mr O’Dowd was educated at Southern Illinois University in the USA where he graduated and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He is an active member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) Australia.
He is tasked with ensuring that all resources are used effectively, quality standards are maintained and that our operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally conscious way.
Mr Kemp has been with University Paton since 2017, has a passion for team development, mentoring and coaching, and is well experienced in strategic planning and development, as well as implementing new initiatives and change across organisations.
Mr Kemp was educated at Melbourne’s La Trobe University, completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Management. He has subsequently gained his diploma of Leadership and Management. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Managers & Leaders and a member of the Australian Marketing Institute.
He is tasked with creating and maintaining our customer relationships as well as focusing on business development, training sales staff and ensuring sales targets are met.
Mrs Walkom has been with University Paton since 2018 and provides professional administrative support with over 9 years of experience in various fields such as sales, telecommunications, technical support and information technology.
She is detail-oriented and resourceful in completing projects and able to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
Mrs Walkom was educated at Mater Dei College before completing a Bachelor of Arts at Edith Cowan University. She subsequently gained her diploma of Business Administration from the North Metropolitan Technical and Further Education Centre.
She is responsible for supervising day to day operations of the administrative department and staff members as well as developing, reviewing and improving administrative systems, policies and procedures. She also works with accounting and management as is involved in company planning, scheduling, and tracking progress towards corporate goals.
Mrs Tay has over 10 years of experience with University Paton. Mrs Tay commenced with University Paton in 2008 as a general assistant and was subsequently appointed to the Executive Assistant role in July 2014.
Mrs Tay attended Christmas Island District High School prior to completing her education at Dunearn Secondary School in Singapore before emigrating to Australia in 1985.
She is responsible for assisting the managers in all aspects of the business including customer contracts and accounts and she also assists the sales staff by being a contact for customer inquiries and in the scheduling of services provided.
Her passion for the business sees her dedicating long hours to every aspect of University Paton, whether it be the needs of our customers, the staff or the company at hand. Her experience and emphasis on customer satisfaction guarantees an exceptionally high standard of customer service.
Mrs Loynes has been with University Paton since 2017 and brings with her extensive expertise in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management.
She has helped to ensure that the company upholds a health and safety culture.
Mrs Loynes was educated at Adelaide High School before completing a Graduate Diploma in Organisational Safety Management at the University of South Australia.
She is responsible for developing and executing health and safety plans meeting or exceeding legal guidelines as well as preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety. She is also tasked with evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
Moreover, she works with and trains all staff to manage, monitor and continually improve the health and safety standards in our workplace.
Mr Budgen started with University Paton in 2020 and is a professional, driven and experienced sales engineer who has worked in both the food packaging and automotive industries in an inside sales capacity.
Mr Budgen was educated at Aquinas College before completing a Bachelor of Engineering from Murdoch University.
He subsequently gained his diploma of Business from the South Metropolitan Technical and Further Education Centre.
He is responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process as well as managing the inside sales team.
Mr Otero started with University Paton in 2019 and over the course of his tenure with the company has led the sales team in a number of projects including several with a large scope of works
Mr Otero was educated at Box Hill High School before completing a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Management, from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne.
He is responsible for outside sales and is committed to ensuring that our products and services are provided in a cost-effective way which provide great value for money.
With his focal point on upholding our company motto of exceptional service, his duty is to co-ordinate the sales team on efficiency and accuracy and to personally ensure reliable communication is met so customer expectations are adhered to, if not exceeded.
Miss Mihocek started with University Paton in 2017 as a purchasing officer on the accounts team. Since then she has gone on to earn her degree in Accountancy with the support of the company and now holds the senior Accounts Manager position.
Miss Mihocek was educated at St. Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School before completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting from The University of Western Australia.
She is highly motivated and enthusiastic and responsible for collecting, interpreting and reviewing the company’s financial information as well as facilitating strong relationships with our input suppliers as well as our customers.
She has oversight over both purchasing and accounts receivable departments and ensures they are run smoothly and efficiently.
Miss Velasquez started with University Paton in 2020 and brings true professionalism to the role and to the company.
She has a truly flexible and positive attitude and is highly motivated to develop the best possible relationship with our input suppliers.
Miss Velasquez was educated at Willetton High School before completing her certificate IV in bookkeeping at the South Metropolitan Technical and Further Education Centre.
Her responsibilities include liaising with suppliers to ensure optimal quality and pricing on inputs as well as compiling and raising purchase orders.
She also attends to supply and material quality issues should they arise, ensures the vendor qualification process and helps to plan and co-ordinate all purchasing activities.
